Hybrid photovoltaic system

This is a system containing solar modules to generate energy, a battery bank to store it, and inverter/chargers and solar charge controllers to convert it. The hybrid system remains connected to the electrical grid and can take or feed back electrical energy from and to the grid. Solar energy is transformed into electricity by the solar modules, then charges the battery with direct current through a solar controller (DC coupling). The battery stores the energy generated by the modules or taken from the electrical grid.

Finally the direct voltage and current of the battery is converted into alternating 230V voltage by the inverter/charger. The generated electricity can power consumers at home or be fed into the grid for a fee. The hybrid inverter consists of an inverter/charger and a solar controller in one housing.

This allows us to simplify the installation and increase its reliability. A disadvantage of the hybrid inverter is the excessive heat dissipation and noisier operation.
